Nubuck leather is not to be confused with Suede even if in some aspects it is similar. The nap is not as long on the Nubuck as it normally is on the Suede. Nubuck is made from top grain leather that have been pumiced to create the finish. Suede on the other hand is usually made from split leather (lower grade) that have been brushed to create the nap. Nubuck can be either oiled or dry, the oiled nubuck is a little easier to care for then the dry. Both types can best be cleaned using a Nubuck Block that when rubbed over the leather will restore the finish.
